Looks sweet. A little touch up here and there, and you'll be set. I was wondering myself if you planned on doing the manual swap too. Auto's just aren't fun at all. Especially if you plan on swapping out that motor later on too. Hmmm, maybe that's when you'll swap the tranny? Nice 240 and good luck with future plans :thumbsup:.

yea the manual swap is comming in soon. i have a 5sp tranny and a lsd wating, cost of the swap and parts should be around $700 if im lucky,

and i was speaking of the interior.

thanks for all the support cant wait to get it up and running the way i want it.. shit i cant wait to boost this bytch@!

Anyways, nice buy. I say screw it all, do an RB swap...crank out the cash for a AWD conversion...come on, ya know ya wanna. Or not. I dunno.

for engine work

boost design turbo kit (t3/t4 .54 a/r) 370cc injectors form a sr, 255 intank, safc and a concertive 9psi, along with a 5speed tranny swap and a lsd in the rear and ill be good..

i just wana fill the back of the car with some nice 275/35/18 tires with 18x10 out back.. o0o man i can dream..

heh theres no telling how long he can hold out for, but i've been stuck at 9 psi for 2years, and jwt still didn't get the program right yet!!! i want to run 14 psi!!!

as of now the sr vs ka can go ither way, the ka-t will cose about 2200 w/o fmu on 6psi and about 170whp, not add fmu in the mix and the price jumps to 3000 and i can boost a safe 10psi and make about 230whp, add a ecu and 14psi and close to 300whp..

sr will cost 4k to do the swap with all major boltons except upgrade turbo form heavythrottle, and is garanteed to make 250whp.. but the plus side you get a motor that has less milage..

but if i blow up the ka-t it gives me a reason to rebuild it to hold 20+psi.. hehe

i just cleaned off my n1 duals it had like a freaking yr. worth of tar and grime on it looks nice and shiny now.. carb cleaner does wonder to remove tar..

False.

No one has solid proof either way of which can do more power. Someone always points out "unfair" advantages on the others engine. So at this point, we just keep to ourselves and enjoy our cars. Well "most" of us.

RElate this to Mustang vs Camaro or Ford vs Chevy. ITs a never ending, annoying arguement.

yup some guy running a T25 on his KA-T made 200whp from just 7psi. thats 30 more then 7 psi on the SR.

SR tends to pick up with the extra RPM. More RPM=more airflow if cams allow.

nice 240 man...i wish i had gotten a better new car...lol :-X i got a 98 cavalier now (i kno nobody cares, since i'm a nobody and this car is actually a little bit slower than the maxima was...:-X haha) but yeah...if i ever get any money i might do a swap in it...im not sure yet...

i envy people with money...hahaha i can't wait to see the progress on the 240 n good luck with it man

Car looks great. First thing you should do is the auto->manual tranny swap, then repaint the back bumper, then get your wheels, suspension and finally turbo. It'll be a fun project.

i'm assuming ur talking to me? well the maxima was bout to roll over 197K miles and somehow the struts were goin bad already, i had an alignment problem i didn't kno about which caused the tires to be worn, there was a wierd stutter/misfire goin on...im guessing it was EGR because it was REALLY bad when i had the vacuum line connected to it, like i couldn't hold a set speed without the car shaking horribly and even under a little bit of throttle it would shake n vibrate sometimes. with the vacuum line disconnected, it would still shake n vibrate a bit, but not as much as when it was connected.

hmm...2 of my windows didn't work, the trans was probably about to go out the window again, i needed to replace the headers soon since i had a leak in one of them...it felt like the rest of the motor mounts broke (i had already replaced one). Basically, i was tired of shit breaking with the car. Oh, there was also rust out the ass all over the car, including where the rear driver's side seat belt bolted to the body of the car.

As for the question about why i settled for a j body...i needed something cheap that got good gas mileage. I was actually hoping for a 240, but i stumbled across the cavalier first. I actually got the dealership to drop the price of the car from what would have been about 5300 after tax tags n fees to 3700 after tax tags n fees (its good to show you aren't naive about the cost of cars). it has 90K mi on it, and runs strong. as stated before, i'm hoping on swapping in a decent motor later on, but that probably wont be for quite some time...for now im happy with the 20ish mpg ive been gettin...which is a big upgrade from the maxima...and the cavalier still pulls pretty decently...i dunno. if i had more money i'd have gotten a 4 door teg, but they wanted 7K for it.
