Must be something in the air when you get a new part installed. No body touched me when my clutch was shot, good thing i guess. No body wants to hear a guy bitch out of a race claiming his clutch is fried.

Just recently put a spec stage III in with aluminum flywheel. As soon as i hit the street trying to break the clutch in, i have imports wanting to play. Can't do much till the clutch is in, so i just give um a little gas and they usually bow out anyway. Nobody near me actually has good stuff done to thier imports.

A 5.0 mustang barks at me comming from the opposite direction, as if to say "i see you got your new clutch, race u later". Im still in the break in phase, but i had to put this stock lt1 camaro in its place last night. I couldn't help it. I consider myself a good 6speed driver, have 10 inch wide grippy rubber in the back, and some efficient bolt ons. So obviously i didn't beat the guy by a mile (same engine as me), but he knows not to fuck with me till he works on his car more.

its spring time in NY, my clutch is finally in, let the racing begin!

Good luck with the new clutch. I just had a spec stage 3 put in as well and am still in the break in period. I think I have to take it back into the shop for some adjusting because after about 100 miles of driving whenever I have the clutch pedal to the floor and the car is in gear it makes a squealing noise. But other than that it works fine and it grips like a mofo.

Have you had any problems with the Opti-spark distributor?

It being as old as it is, I'm assuming all those problems where covered under warranty by a previous owner? Apparently the waterpump would spring a leak all over the distributor...

It being so old, It must of been fixed. That is, if it ever had the problem.

Kewl cars, I'd probably own one if the motor wasn't halfways under the dash. Good luck to ya.

Oh man u just jinxed me! lol, no i have not had any problems with my "opti-crap" as we lt1 guys like to call it. Im the second owner, i bought the car 4 years ago with 6 thousand miles on it. It now has 40 thousand. the opti has not been changed, but i was quick to replace the water pump when it shit the bed 2 years ago with a Mieziere electric. Runs great, cept for normal "old car" issues.
