Does anyone know who makes the factory alarm? Nissan doesnt make it do they?

Im trying to find out if they make or is it possible to hook up modules like the auto start and auto windows up to it without buying another whole alarm system.

Anyone with info on alarms would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance to all.

usually, it is a port of entry style of alarm. No, you can't hook anything up to it but you can add some things. Remote start can be done but it's worthless to pay a little less for the remote start to work of the OEM keyless and have 100' of range when you could use the aftermarket remotes and have 1/4 mile range. Oh, if you ask, yes you can have the remote start activate your alarm so you'd still have some sort of security.

if there is a facotry alarm can i just switch out the brain with an aftermarket brain and then add the other modules like auto windows up/down and remote start?

ponchonutty has excellent reasons to answer no to your questions. My son has been installing LoJack and aftermarket alarm systems for two years agrees and added a few more reasons. This article offers interesting information to consider.
