2000 beetle gas, auto transtoad3 05-12-2005, 03:07 PM I just got 2000 beetle gas, auto 82,000, can get motor, trans warranty for 3 years or 36000 fo 1100.00 what to do boschmann 05-13-2005, 03:42 PM It depends on what the warranty covers, if it's onlymajor items forget it. If it covers all the small stuff then it might be worthwhile. Not too much major fails before 120K unless you don't change the timing belt (& they probably wouldn't cover it if it did as it's a missed maintenance item). More often it's smaller things like cat converters, MAF's, & many other small engine sensors & switches that fail. The other big problems are with interior items & misc. electronics like ABS, air bags, etc.... toad3 05-14-2005, 11:58 PM It depends on what the warranty covers, if it's onlymajor items forget it.
