yesterday i was replacing the missing (!) bushing at the front end of the shifter extension bar where it attaches to the transmission. finished up, and cleared all the tools out from under the car. lowered the right front wheel, and moved the jack over to the other side. as i lowered the left side, suddenly a stream of liquid started spraying out from under the car all over my hand/jack.

horrified, my mind raced - what part had just sprung a leak causing another full day of waiting in traffic jams to find the part, and another several hours sweating under my car while fluids dripped on my face. it could be- brake hose? maybe. wrong color. would it keep spraying like this? what fluid is this anyway? doesnt look like anything except maybe oil and oil isnt this thin and it isnt under pressure and -- man, its still coming, pressure's still there, it looks just like .. pb blaster.

pb blaster! i forgot the can under there!

i reach under to the hidden upright can, give it a yank, and pull it out. the relief was immediate and overwhelming. and the can still works fine.

'thought that was hilarious.

dude I know what your talking about. I was fixing my car with a buddy. I left a Pepsi can on the battery and walked to the back of the car. Needless to say, but my buddy didn't see the can and dropped the hood. After a lot of cursing and cleaning we had a good laugh about it.
