Today my heater just stopped working and the air conditioner too, just no air blowing out.
When lifting the hood there was LITTLE amount of smoke and i couldn't find out where it was coming from but was toward the back. I dont know why there is no blowing air help.

Same problem here, but without the smoke.

I've got a 98 Neon, SOHC, no air conditioning. Fan seems DOA, no air on any setting.

your blower fan is broke! there will be a fan tucked down there somewhere. its an electric fan that blows the air out of your vents. you will need to go on in there and replace it

Yeah, how do we get to it? Is it underneath the dash, or under the hood?

in the vehicle, passenger side, underneith the dash. remove the scuff plate adn pull back the carpet. the blower motor and assembly will be right there. disonnect the wiring harness, and unbolt it. you will have to cock it to the side/down to get it out. replace the set and you should be set. you can also check the fuse/relay. dont know which one that is though. good luck guys

Thanks so much! Sorry to be a pain, but another question- is it just the fan itself that you think will need replacing, or the motor too?

the fan AND motor have to be replaced as a unit. but in reality the motor is probably whats dead

wait if there wasd smoke comming out of the hood shouldnt that lead too no anti freeze though...... because the blower is on the inside of the car in front of the passenger seat....
