I have one ('04 Maxx). So far, it seems a lot better than the last generation, but it's still under a year old. Really, too early to tell.
Many folks don't care for the front end, but I kinda like it now that I look at it every day. The '06 front end really isn't a drastic change, and I personally like them both (or dislike them both) about the same.
See a lot of sedans around, but few Maxxes. The Maxxes I do see are nearly all rentals (many of the sedans, too). That's disappointing, and wasn't supposed to happen according to Bob Lutz.
Problems are the reputation it earned in its prior form (that's a BIG problem), and lack of much advertising by GM, which clearly has too many models and the ad budget is spread way too thin.

Yes - but Chevy earned that reputation. Maybe they should fire some managers and consider Quality (like Toyota does).
