Hey fellas!

I need a lil' help. I am assisting a friend of mine working with a drag car, and the guy has a lot of spare parts around. I'd like some info on what to look at to ID the engine blocks and heads specifically. I'm told they are Integra GSR blocks (b18c or c1?), I don't know about the cylinder heads. Any help would be appreciated. I am mostly a musclecar guy, but I'm into all kinds of tastefully done cars, even if they are Chevy...

The guy is handicapped now due to a stroke, he had almost completed building and running a 'glass bodied, tube-chassis civic w/a GSR based motor, Holset turbo, Edelbrock intake, and lotsa other not-exactly-street goodies.

BTW anyone who wants to post simply to flame my Cobra in my sig, grow up. Thanks.

Right off the FAQ.
(b18b1): from 94-96 142/126, 97-up 140/126 (obdI vs obdII)
gsr (b18c1): 170/128 obdI (94-96)
type r (b18c5 97-up): 195/130

your block code will be right to the right of the tranny on a flat area.

Do you need pics or more ID info?

Head casting numbers will be right above the header. It has the date and then a 3 digit code.

GSR's 94-01 are P72
LS 94-01 (B18b1) are P75
90-93 teg are PR4 2exc. GSR which is 92-93 is P61

just double checked.
a 94-01 B18B1 head actually has a PR4-2
stamp on it while the 90-93 B18a1 has a PR4-1 stamp on it.
a jdm GSR head has a P72-2 stamp on it, and the usdm one has a P72 stamp on it
