That's what the book said too and he has had no luck finding it anywhere on the driver's side of the fender well or anywhere on that side of the engine compartment. It is a station wagon which I forgot to mention....would that make a difference?? Sue - Dave's Wife 1986Z28 05-09-2005, 04:14 PM it may be on the passneger side too. i dont know Dave's Wife 05-09-2005, 04:45 PM Yup, it was on the passenger side. He got ahold of a local dealer this morning who told him right where it was and the number on it. The parts store had given him the wrong part yesterday so he was looking for something that didn't exist. Put in an oil pressusre switch after determining there was no power from the fuel relay pump to the oil pressure switch, and VOILA, it runs!! Thanks for your help. Sue in St. Louis - Dave's Wife 1986Z28 05-09-2005, 06:47 PM glad to be of any help Dave's Wife 05-09-2005, 10:34 PM Well, we only thought it was fixed. Now it is blowing the No. 13 fuse...and then it stops running or won't start. So there's a short somewhere......sheez, if it isn't one thing it's a whole bunch more. Sue in St. Louis - Dave's Wife 1986Z28 05-10-2005, 02:44 PM thats weird, il try and find out if i know whats going on Gearhead406350 05-14-2005, 06:57 PM Well that fuse controls the follwing: Speed Signal Module; ECM; EGR Solenoid; Air Control; ESC Module; Canister Purge; Cluster Electronics/Warning Indicator. So thatis what it its for i have a 91 and i dont know what that could be but its probably a short in a warning indicator or the electronics for the cluster which blows the fuse but i can't see that preventing it from running or starting thats all i can help with for now. I keep looking though. Dave's Wife 05-14-2005, 10:23 PM I want to thank you both for all your help. Somehow we got it fixed. We think it was something to do with the oil pressure sending switch or the brake light thingy that makes those go on and off (they had been stuck on we just noticed) cuz those were the only two things he monkied with........so anyway.....it's running and we really aren't sure how or why LOL Thanks much guys. I really appreciate your help. I may be back here again since Dave does all the work on our cars. His next project? Fixing the oilpan and transmission lines that he screwed up by running over something......with MY CAR !!!!!
