Check engine light question

I have a 2003 limited and the pesky check engine light came on after going over a bump in the road at 35 mph. I had just filled her up for the first time and didn't fully tighten the gas cap, so I think that is the likely cause. So how can I reset the computer myself? I've heard about disconnecting the battery possibly. What about simply pulling the fuse to the OBD?

Both ways will work, or you can simply just let it reset itself. Should be just a couple of days. Mine went off after two days. Good luck!

It's been over a week now and there have been about 20 key cycles and it still burns bright. Does it always reset itself?

Disconnect the negative terminal for an hour or two. That will reset the light for sure.

Not sure if this will work with the tundra, but it always worked with the tacoma I had. Disconnect the positive battery terminal for about 5 minutes, that should reset it.
