Hello Asraf

I have a 97 528i and had a similar problem...the outside temp was reporting -40 at all times...someone on this site was kind enough to offer me some assistance...i was told that the outside tem sensor (looks like a digital thermometer) soimetimes gets knocked off from it's connector...it is located in front of the front passenger tire...if you crawl under and have a look under the front bumper you should be able to see it...if it's not there, you will have to replace it...if it's there, i'd check to see if the connection is o.k (unplug it and then plug it back in), it may take a day or two for it to work as it should...if not the sensor may be faulty and require replacement...GOOD LUCK.

had same problem on my 2002 530i i found out that i was missing the sensor and a plastic piece that was holding it that looked like somebody ripped it out ots is located in front bumper on passenger side it's visable from underneth of the bumper (at the dealers it cost's like $50 with that plastic piece that holds it)
