the little civic that couldn'tRiCR-wana-b 05-07-2005, 02:26 AM ok well my school is not the place to go if you want to talk about cars. there are a few select people that even know how to work on a car, so this past week we got a new student "larry" now this guy is sort of a punk and kinda ghetto... well any how he has a a 95 civic that he thinks is the shit, but of course, huge body kit, double stack wing, gauges galore inside, Apillar turbo gauges, and NAWWS gauges... "custom" rims and no passanger seat for weight reduction(you know cuz they weigh like twenty pounds) so i asked him about his car. and this is basically how the convo went me: so whats done to your civic? him: well nothin really, AEM cold air intake, exhaust, lowered suspension, and supposedly he swapped a turbo B16...( but its not, its the stock D16) then he goes on to say that and its got NAWS traps, now i dont know what the hell those are but i guess its just super tiny bottles on nitrous that he can shoot every now and then, and its got two chips in it, one in the engine and one "under the transmission"??? me: so how much horse are you pushin? him:well it should be some where around 200...(after that my jaw hit the floor). and it runs like mid 13's... now by this time im stunned at what this guy is sayin, so i asked him to pop the hood, so he did. hes got a nuespeed strut, intake like he said, and no turbo... just exhaust and i asked him where it was and all he said was that its "hidden" so now im just playin along with his load of crap and i asked him if he wanted to race. and he said sure why not so on the way to practice afterschool we get up along side eachother(and im driving my 1985 bmw 325E which would run like a 17 second 1/4) so i drop down into second at about 30, and so does he, i honk us down and we both take off and from the start he was no where to be seen, i hit third and then fourth and shut down around 80ish.. and he was car lengths behind. so we get to practice and i ask him what happened to the thirteen second times he should be running. and all he said was him:" i was a little scared to gun it all the way..." me: are you kidding me? him: well im not done modding it yet, i wanna twin turbo it and get the dual cold air intake. me: so you're gonna twin turbo a 4 cylinder? him: o ya me: so they put out enough exhuast to push a twin turbos? him: ya i think so me: and how much horse are you gonna be puttin down then? him: o id say like 275, 300 me: "laughing histerically" (and now the whole baseball team is standing around laughing their asses off because this kid has no clue what the hell he is talkin about and they cant get enough of it) me: so ya it was a good race man, maybe we should do it again... him: no i dunno man your bimmer is pretty quick... i dont know if i can hang me: ya dude, but its stock... and then practice started and that was the end of that and now he wont even talk to me at school. its great so i gues the moral of the story is, DONT BE A DAMN RICER and you wont get embarassed... dampachi 05-07-2005, 02:37 AM Awesome. Another ricer thread. Staring a honda civic. Aren't they all? RiCR-wana-b 05-07-2005, 03:07 AM i have no problem with honda, infact i prefer that them to most other cars... im not tryin to start a domestic-vs-import war or anything... GrimTRT 05-07-2005, 03:12 AM I really dont mind them eather...I might get one but because its cheap, and ill have a decent runing car for once until I get a better one dampachi 05-07-2005, 03:41 AM It's cool..I'm just saying we've all heard 'this' story before. Ya know? CivRacer95 05-07-2005, 05:29 AM :1: I hear atleast one "Ricer Civic" story a week, if not 5. But that was a very good first story here. I wouldn't doubt if it happened, but really, being the Honda Civic owner I am, I would hope some body would have another story to tell without the "RICER" being a civic, nonetheless a Honda. Other than that. Welcome to AF. Good kill, great story, yada yada yada . -The Stig- 05-07-2005, 05:56 AM :1: I hear atleast one "Ricer Civic" story a week, if not 5.
