Every now and then the brakes will almost go to the floor and il hear the abs motor whine. The abs light came on once but when i shut it off and started it back up the light never came back on. What would cause the brakes to do this?

I read an article a few weeks ago about Chrysler having problems with the Bendix ABS brakes. Contact your dealer, I am sure if nothing else, there is a hidden warrantee on them. Don't take no for an answer, they had problems on these for years.

Yes, there was a recall on something to do with the ABS on the early-mid '90's Caravan - not sure if your van is specifically covered. It could also be a sign of a failing master cylinder or air in the system.
