Hooking amp to factory headunitCSusnjer 05-06-2005, 03:54 PM Whatsup everybody, I have a 02 accord with the 6 disc in-unit cd changer with tape and fm. I was going to switch the headunit but i heard of too many problems with removing it (air/temp controls, climate controls, steering wheel controls....). I heard of some line convertor that you can use. I looked all day for one but cant find any instructions with how to use it. Is this an easy project or something that i dont want to get too involoved in. I really dont care to much for the perfect quality, i love the factory setup as it is. I just want to add my subs that i had from my last car. I figure i can add bassblockers and that stuff later, i just want some extra bass for it right now. Thanks in advance for all the help and time anyone can give. millaj92 05-12-2005, 12:37 PM You need what is called a line-out converter which has speaker wire input and rca outputs. It's pretty easy to wire up, and pulling out that radio isn't hard at all if it's a 2002. If it's a 2003, then that's a different story. If you need help with removing that, I can tell you how step-by-step. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
