Does anyone have wiring pinouts or diagram for the 12pin factory alarm harness behind the glovebox on an E36? I bought an aftermarket alarm for my '92 325i, and want to know what I can connect there and how. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Never mind, I figured it all out. For those who are interested to know, here it goes:

YELLOW (fused)-- Constant 12v
VIOLET-- Ignition 12v
BROWN-- Ground
BLACK/GREEN-- Main door (-) switch. This triggers when any door is unlocked or opened.
BLACK/WHITE-- Passenger door only (-) switch.
BLACK/RED-- Rear doors only (-) switch.
RED-- Horn (requires a relay if using this).
GREEN-- Hazard light (Do not use, wire to parking lights instead).
BLACK/YELLOW-- Door lock (+)
BLUE/GREEN-- Door unlock (+)
BLUE-- Trunk switch
WHITE-- Dome light

First, confirm that all 12 wires are colored the same as above. If not, you may have a different setup, but the chances of that are very slim. Then, TEST PROBE THE WIRES FIRST. Don't hold me responsible if your wiring is different!

To run wires through the firewall, there is a large rubber grommet with sealed wire holes on the right as you're looking into the space behind the glovebox. Just punch through the wire holes with a small screwdriver, and the wires you feed through will enter the engine compartment underneath the (+) battery post. I only had to run two wires through . . . the siren wire, and the parking light wire. For parking lights, you have to connect to both left and right circuits of the car (I attached to the harnesses at the corner lights).

Hope this helps anyone out there.
