new tire carrier on back door?wsmole1 05-04-2005, 10:15 PM ok I want to get rid of my spare tire and put a new full size, when I do this it will take up more room in my jeep. I've looked all over the web for ways of putting the tire outside my cherokee but all I've found is people putting it on the roof, which I don't like the safari look. I was wondering if anyone seen a way of attaching it to the back door. I know if I do this I will have to put stronger struts on the door to lift it. Or Have some type of device the swings the tire out like in the hummer. Has anyone seen what I'm talking about, or know how to do this. I know it sounds like monster garage, but I really like that look that the jeep wrangler has. also about the liscense plate. I found a plate mount that is meant to be place on a bumper so I don't have to worry about covering that up. thanxs vamc 05-04-2005, 11:50 PM YES, i have fould a place, www.quadratec.com Part # 78009.805 or 78009.802 Depends on your year.
