HI-

I am in dire need of help. I am looking to purchase a vehicle because i totalled mine. So i found a Chrysler Cirrus 1996 with 160k miles 30k miles on the new transmission. The car has also been lowered and has AZ state plates, so no smog has been done. Apparenlty the car has issues with the map sensor but nothing major. Anyone have any ideas on what could occur first becuase it's a new transmission, then because the map sensor is off? Apparently the car battery will need to be replaced because they have not drove it in a long time.

I really only want the car for about a year while i finish paying off some debt and then get a new car. What type of problems could i encounter with the given information?

Any help would much be appreciated.

Thanks!

Maria

pretty much anything can happen to a car with 160K miles on it. Just make sure everything is ok with the car and hope for the best.

I wouldn't pay more than $1000 for that car. Likely the lowering was done improperly and it rides poorly. The MAP problem is possibly a symptom of a larger problem that may cost thousands to fix if you need it to pass smog.
