I got a 94 Hatchback that comes with 13" rims (duh). I want to throw put on those Civic SI rims that come in the 1999-2001, they r 15". Okay, aside from the obvious speed reading being thrown off by putting on a 2" bigger rim, is it going to like seriously mess nething up with the car? My dads friend who sells tires is having a mini fit saying how im going to screw the car up (he is old newayz), and giving me a hassel over the 2" rim increase. Ive seen other hatchbacks with the same rims on so i know they will fit, but what else gets funked up?:bandit:

Nothing will get messed up if you put those SI rims on there. In fact, you can put up to 17'' on there safely. Some drawbacks? More weight and the speedometer might be off a bit (but that can be adjusted).

your over all tire diameter will stay the same or really close so nothing will get messed upif you get bigger rims than you have to get lower profile tires

How do you adjust your speed-o-meter?
