I doubt anyone knows how to do this but here goes. When i bought my jeep like a year ago the owner showed it to me first by walking into his garage and he disarmed the alarm and it chirped in recognition of the disarm. Yet when i disarm it it does not chirp but it does the same thing. the remote has two buttons 1 and 2. 1 unlocks and locks and such and i really don't know right now about anything b/c i want to have the car chirp cause that sounds cool each time u get in your car or are leaving so i just leave it in valet mode all the time. Anyone know anything?

Does it do it when its not in valet? I'd talk to a car audio place and ask them personally. It might be something you have to program it to do?

If the alarm is within 5 years old and is properly hooked up you can do one of 2 things. With the door open, take your remote and press #1, #2, and then #1 buttons in that order. Wait about 10 seconds and try it.
Or, right after you shut off the car, press your valet button.
Obviously with my answers to your question I think it too is in the valet mode. If none of this works, then you have something else going on.
If you continue to have problems, PM me and I'll try to locate an owner's manual.

Actually I am not sure what your even saying now. Of course it won't chirp while in Valet mode. Why have an alarm if you leave it in Valet????
I have nothing for a Python 60 in my files. You sure it isn't something like a 650??? What does your remote look like and also what color is the LED light on the remote?

I do have a little pamphlet about the security system but i wouldn't really call it a manual since it is a couple of pages and is very vague it says u can hold down number two for a second and it will silence the chirp only ONCE, and will chirp again after that one time... maybe there is a loose connection to the small pa thing or maybe it went bad? the reason why i dont really use the alarm is because the guy i bought it from came from LA and u know how things roll in a city like that... but where i live is like the fancy suburb little city that everyone despises and recognizes as rich bastards and think everyone drives land rovers to school everyday 10 feet from their 4 size dream home... so where i live if anyone hears something about a local shooting it is the biggest thing ever. crime is not a problem at all and you could leave you keys in your car if you wanted... i just wanted to know why it doesn't chirp like it used to when the owner showed it to me

also i was wondering where the control module is? is it under the steering wheel like where the switch is?

If you can....trace the wire that is connected to the valet switch. That's where you'll find the module. My guess is that it is behind all that stuff. If a professional installed it, that's where they would have installed it. I would try messing with that silence button. Maybe it will turn it on? I'm not sure if disconnecting and reconnecting the module would make any difference or not? I still have to install my paging/remote start alarm system. I dreed the day or days it will take me to do that. If you have a car audio installer place near by you could call or drop by and ask them. They might be able to at least point you in the right direction.

well, talk to them on the phone first....they can't charge ya for that. If they want ya to bring it in, tell them you will, but don't wish to have any charges.
