Yea, I know these aren't your typical race cars but I thought it was amusing. I ws driving to work in my '97 Blazer today and a kid in his dad's 2000 Chevy 2500 4x4 pulls up next to me at a light. This thing is complete with ladder rack and tool box in the back. He looks at me, grins and keeps bumping the gas like he wanted to race. I thought WTF and nodded back. The road we were on goes from four lanes to two lanes about a 150 yards from the light. The light goes green i'm in the left lane and get a 1/2 truck lenght on him off the light and just extended it from there to the merge. I slow down to the 35 mph speed limit and this kid pulls close enough to my bumper that all I see is headlights and grill. He stays that way until the intersection and I get in the lane to turn right and he gets into the lane to turn left. This kid floors it past me the 25 or 30 yards to the light then has to slam on the brakes to keep from running the sign, and then gives my a dirty look and smokes the tires threw the intersection. What is up with the little jackasses today. When you race a work truck you should expect to get beat.
Just thought it was funny and figured i'd post it.
