Dumping that much torque into a '96 4l50e can split your sun gear reaction shell. But this also kills reverse in some instances. Drop the pan and get a look. If you see any slivers of steel bigger than a 1/4 inch, you munched your planetary pack and the shell.

This way to many electrical codes. Just about all solenoids. Some of these code do not show up until 95 models. But it sounds like you have a electrical problems here. The plug at trans not good, loose, bent contacts, harness damage, cut wire, or something. Your solenoid work off 12 volts, your sensor works of 5 volt ref signal. The trans is in fault mode and that is second gear.

I think the base problem is the TCC.

That will cause the low power from a stop.

If the tcc stays locked it will do more than that. It will stall engine when you try to stop. If it is engaged there will be no slip at stops. If it doesn't engage then you just don't get the gas mileage because of turning higher rpms. I seen more tcc locks with the front wheel drive cars. And when that happens you will know because it is like you are stoping and forgot to disengage clutch. Sometimes after this happens you can let sit for a while and go again. And also will not engage until it has warmed up.
