Its located at the rear of the engine. Its a $5 part. don457 05-03-2005, 05:30 PM [QUOTE=don457]i have a 1995 contour and the battery is'n staying charged,the alternator is good and new battery what else could be wrong.[/QUOTE does this mega fuse have another word for it because i went to the auto parts store and the have no clue what i need can you tell me were i can fine it aton the car.please meintool 08-30-2006, 02:16 PM [QUOTE=don457]i have a 1995 contour and the battery is'n staying charged,the alternator is good and new battery what else could be wrong.[/QUOTE does this mega fuse have another word for it because i went to the auto parts store and the have no clue what i need can you tell me were i can fine it aton the car.please i just had this same damn problem and its soo friggin easy the mega fuse is located under the intake manifold right behind the alternator it there are two positive wires bolted to it from the battery and the alternator first you have to take the lone rectangled plastic cover off then unbolt the two bolts and unclip it and pull it off once you have the actual fuse out shake it around it shouldnt make anynoise if it sounds like metal loose inside the fuse its blown it is deffinatly a pain in the ass to get the fuse to unclip from its holder but once you do youll be happy to find out its a 5 doller fix now i just need to find a ride to the ford dealer to get the fuse $7 from the dealer i called autozone and advance and neither of them know there asshole from there elbow so just go to the dealer they knew right away what i was talking about btw the megafuse is a 175A fuse iorn eagle 08-31-2006, 06:21 AM i beg to differ on adavance i used to work there. and i had a contour. and i`ll find parts all the time there you just need to tlk to right preson. and take the fuse with you. to show them. Jason43 08-31-2006, 08:09 AM Not to hijack, but the difference is you owned a contour. My experience with AZ and Advanced is they generally have no clue. I decided I wouldn't go back after I tried to buy brake pads at AZ and the drone at the counter told me I didn't have an SVT.
