A friend has a 98 Caravan in which the guages,( speedometer, fuel ect.)occasionally stop working. If she stops and restarts they work again. I told her may be a loose ground. Any other ideas? Thanks for any input.

There is a fuse in the main fuse block under the hood near the end where the battery hooks into it. I think its called an IOD? Anyway, its sits all by itself at the very end. Try removing it for a minute or so then put it back in. Good luck!
