if you have the off road package, you could get away with 31x10.5 without any problems. i have a 3 in body lift and 33x12.5's just clear.

i just had the same issue.

i have a 99 Ranger 2x4, no lift, no suspension mods.

I wanted some cheap tires and the guy at walmart said i can put 31x10.5 liberators. I was doubtful but he mounted it up and it seemed fine.

There is i tiny bit of rubbing on the front driver side if i really come down hard on something. But if there wasnt that little square protrusion into the fender well it would be fine.

I did put new shocks on and it felt like a whole new truck. The stiffer sidewalls in the higher load-rating full-size truck tires fells a lot more responsive than those little squishy donuts that the ranger originally came with.
