95 blazer started running rough andgonzoid 05-01-2005, 10:45 PM You all here have an awesome site, after 2 hrs. of search i decided to sign up and hope that one of you experts has seen the exact symptoms and can help pinpoint the problem. This is for a close friend that recently bought this 95Sblazer 4Dr Lt 117K miles very nice. It started today, running rough and the oil pressue gauge started jumping around and may have looked low and also the tach was going crazy. It all started at once so I have to believe its all related and on another note it has been a rainy day as if moisture is involved. Thank you BlazerLT 05-02-2005, 12:57 AM Doa tuneup and clean the EGR valve. gonzoid 05-02-2005, 05:10 PM Doa tuneup and clean the EGR valve. Ok good advise,my friend called today and said its running fine,he did say the light came on last night just before parking it for the night, this morning it got well and the light went out, I met up with him and pulled the code, got a 1406 EGR pintal hanging up.Seems BlazeLT somehow knew it was EGR related, why the oil pressure gauge and tach went screwy is a mystery to me unless it was iding so bad it was freaking eveything out.I plan to help my buddy out and do just what you said ,tune and clean EGR/pintal and passages.I got from this forum the "W" motor only runs it best with AC plugs. Thanks The oil pressure will be wachy when the engine is misfiring due to the EGR trouble. The oil pressure is tied directly to engine rpms seeing the oil pump is driver by the distributor. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
