I got these rust stains on my car from rust spots erroding the exterior of my car. Before i patch the rust wholes up, i want to see if i can get the rust stains off my car. Anyone know how to do this? Or what i could buy/make to clean em off without hurting the paint on my car. The cars white

if you mean the stains that kinda run down the side of a car from a rust spot just buff it out with some polishing compound. I wouldn't use rubbing compound because it might be too coarse and take off the clearcoat.

I think the rubbing compound probably would be too coarse. I'd just make sure to be very gentle when trying to remove the stains.

Thats what I said? and that polishing compoud would be the way to go.

Polishing compound is much finer than rubbing compound, I use it at work all the time to get scuffs and stuff off my fleet cars.
