How are these gonna fit my Civic?

Ok, I just got a set of 17" Konig Monsoons. I'd like to fit the 17s onto my Civic, but I don't want to bust out the crazy camber kit or anything, so does anyone have 17s on their 6th gen? If so, what profile tire did you use? If the 17s will be a pain we have 16s I can swap for, so I'm just trying to decide without taking both cars down to the shop, mounting them and driving to test it.

Thanks,
:) C

What size of wheel and profile of tire did you originally have? If you had 15" x 55's a 40 series would work good with 17s. Will be nearly the same circumfrence (sp?).

205/40/17's are customary for 17's on a civic. Camber shouldn't be affected negatively unless you modify your spring/strut combo with it.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Any chance I could get away with a 1" drop and still have those 17s without the camber kit?

You guys are cool :D

You should be good with a 1" drop (dont need camber kit). Typically if you go to the 1.5"+ zone, you need a camber kit. Its always a good idea to get an alignment after suspension changes and they can tell you if your camber is out of whack.

Have fun

I made a sticky over this. There is no definitive drop that'll warrant an automatic camber change. Get the drop, get an alignement cause you need it anyways and find out if you do or not.
