i keep eating paper filters every 3 k miles due to off roading i am thinking of a k&n for a replacement since they only need to be oiled now if i put one in will i need to readjest the carb on the 2.8 v6 or will it automaticly adjest and YES THIS IS A CARB NOT A TBI its a 85 model year

You won't have to adjust anything, drop it on and go. Even with the carb.

Love my K & N. Engine breaths better and I can feel a snappy responce when you get on the gas. Just make sure to never over oil it! I have yet to clean mine and it has been about 40K miles and it still is pretty damn clean compared to some of the paper ones I have pulled out. I think I will be drilling holes into the air box shortyl, got to fix it though, previous owner (idiot) must have just ripped it out and not realized how to slowly remove the cover, I hate inpatient people!
