View Full Version : house or car house or car devster18 04-30-2005, 08:15 PM Porsche 04-30-2005, 09:23 PM A Porsche, 2 Geo's and a Lambo.... yeah that sounds right. CivRacer95 04-30-2005, 09:26 PM Just take the money instead. Then get yourself a descent car that you can fix up yourself, bank the money your mother gave you, and move into a small appartment and live off the interest. Simple as pie. But of course, I have never done that. I prefer to live in the basement of my parents house. But if I could, that would be my choice of plan . Now I'm going watch my parents tv and eat their food... tonioseven 04-30-2005, 09:30 PM A house wothout a doubt!! :sunglasse You can't take a good comfortable shit in a Lambo! Cl0ak 04-30-2005, 09:38 PM Personally i'd take the house. Chances of her buying you a lambo are slim, chances of her buying the house you know are excellent. With the money you would save by having a house paid for, all of your money could go toward a nice car that you want. In the long run it works out well, and you have the comfort and safety of owning your own house. But thats my mature side talking, the devil that hangs out near my clutch foot says grab the fastest car you can. blindside.AMG 04-30-2005, 09:52 PM Just buy a smaller house and a less expensive sportscar like a new Corvette or something. Or, buy a smaller house and invest that money and buy the Lambo later. But the smartest option would be to get yourself some reliable transportation and use the rest as a college fund. clawhammer 04-30-2005, 10:40 PM Don't forget the insurance on the Lamborghini. If you're really 18 like your profile says, you are going to have an extremely hard time even getting insurance for it. Go with the house, and maybe spend some money on your Porshe, like upgrade your turbos. fredjacksonsan 04-30-2005, 10:42 PM House = increase in value Lambo = decrease in value (usually) Better decision is to take the house. Although I like the idea of getting a smaller house, a nest egg, and a cheaper car. :) SeXy_AnGeL 04-30-2005, 11:16 PM ummmm house...yup, house devster18 04-30-2005, 11:30 PM Yeah, i've already decided on the house, but I was just day dreaming. It doesn't make financial sense to me to buy a lamborghini. sivic02 04-30-2005, 11:40 PM Ok I have heard of peoples parents buying them a car, at least their first car...whos parents buy them a fucking house? I mean really, what the bloody hell? Does your mom wipe your ass for you too? Dont pay attention to what im saying im drunk and pissed off that your getting a house for free...bastard. devster18 04-30-2005, 11:44 PM I think I could live there for free too. Just get a roomate and have them pay utilities. Instant equity also. Andydg 04-30-2005, 11:48 PM Ok I have heard of peoples parents buying them a car, at least their first car...whos parents buy them a fucking house? I mean really, what the bloody hell? My gramma is basically buying me a house... :grinyes: But anywho I would go with a house over any almost any car. The house is just too valueable on more levels, or atleast for me it is. CivRacer95 04-30-2005, 11:49 PM God blessed me with the wrong fucking life... :comprage1 Good luck when you get the house then... jcsaleen 05-01-2005, 01:58 AM House is a wiser investment for sure. ec437 05-01-2005, 03:02 AM Well... how much will she be spending on your house? Like $50k, or like $300k? crayzayjay 05-01-2005, 07:25 AM Easy. Go to a casino, put it all on red, and buy both. (or none) Jimster 05-01-2005, 08:40 AM My parents once bought me a house. Except they lived in it as well and when I was 19 they made me leave it. Cyprus106 05-01-2005, 11:48 AM God blessed me with the wrong fucking life... :comprage1 :werd: dugie6551 05-02-2005, 08:20 AM My parents once bought me a house. Except they lived in it as well and when I was 19 they made me leave it.  Thanks for the chuckle !!! ghostrx7 05-03-2005, 08:08 AM i always wanted to get a lambo instead of a house when i was like 14!id live in a cheap azz condo and roll up with the sickest ride ever. then i grew up! twospirits 05-03-2005, 10:23 AM I would get a house. Its beyond me why anyone would want to get a Lambo if they do not live in a country that would allow you to fully enjoy it. In Europe you can enjoy the speed, here in the states, you will be lucky getting 55 with the constant traffic jams. Plus the gas, yikes. Now a BMW would be nice. If every member sent in a dollar I think I can make it. send check or money order to twospirits Dream-athon 1 AF Hyway Bourbon, Kentucky, USA  TS out karmacae 05-03-2005, 10:38 AM I would go for the house. My parents baught my brother a house. Just so he would get out of theirs. He moved out then 6 months later he moved back in with my parents. He is now 23. Why is it that the boys always get everything and the girls are shit out of luck?? My parents never got me a damn thing....I am gonna go cry to myself now... I'm my father's only girl with 4 brothers (3 older, 1 younger). I get pretty much anything I want, and while they get most stuff they want, the older ones especially, don't really ask for much. I don't ask for a lot either, its just what I ask for I get. So I dunno :screwy: karmacae 05-03-2005, 12:00 PM I never really ask for anything, even as a child. Me and my sister did not get much, now my 3 brothers thats a different story. Get the house. thats what I would do... Damien 05-03-2005, 12:02 PM Screw the lambo...I want a Skyline and hook it up. I can always stay in an apartment. ghostrx7 05-03-2005, 12:17 PM lambo=250,000. id go with a porshe 911=120,000. 130,000=house or a 05 vette=60,000. 190,000=nice house TexasF355F1 05-03-2005, 12:53 PM Don't forget about property taxes, school taxes, etc. that are also involved with owning a home. 95cord 05-03-2005, 01:01 PM When I was younger I always wanted a porshe. I always thought if I had a chance to get a porshe or a house, I would just have to sleep in the porshe. But now no porshe but I own a house. karmacae 05-03-2005, 01:09 PM Don't forget about property taxes, school taxes, etc. that are also involved with owning a home. No shit, my taxes are a little over 1000 a year, not to mention the $400 insurance every month. Ouch. My home is worth it though  TexasF355F1 05-03-2005, 01:39 PM No shit, my taxes are a little over 1000 a year, not to mention the $400 insurance every month. Ouch. My home is worth it though  Not a home owner yet, but my dad has to fit his property tax hikes almost yearly because they want to raise them so high. Polygon 05-03-2005, 06:19 PM No question, I would choose a house. A house will build equity while pretty much any car won't.
