So I'm on the freeway, and I roll past a 2003GT mustang convertable, TOP BANNANA! yellow...the middleage man looks to me as I sound the blowoff with a look of anger. I get ahead, not think anything of it untill I see a yellow mass ripping up behind me.

Boost to 15psi!

I drop it to 3rd gear, 4K rpm, and as he makes it up to me I hit it! and i'm there... he dosent even manage to pass me as I pull twice as hard as he can. And yes, he does a ricer flyby.

Later, through Hunginton Beach rollin down PCH to clear my mind of recent events in my life a chick rolls past sipping her starbucks coffie in a 2003 white GT convertable mustang. She revs on me and goes for it. well...this is at the intersection of Main and PCH...good way to get arrested. I wait untill were a lil ahead...divider blocking the view of traffic. I return from 10psi to 15, and drop it to second.

The RB roars to 5K and lets out a backfire, she snaps her head over and flicks her hair as she mashes out

an automatic! Surely I am doomed!

Naw...I just mash out and pass her like shes standing still. I put it gently into third and give her a sec as she catches up and just match her speed as she goes for it, smiling and waving to her. She got the idea by about 100.

Then, on the way home I roll up to a 1998 Cobra! Looks like some old biker jumped off his harley and jacked it. So he revs on me. You know what I did?

Boost, 15psi! We hit a light. I dont launch, as I havent yet. he does, and actually gets traction and a jump on me. First goes fast, i'm at his door an instand after I get it into second. He looks over suprised as I keep going, leaving him behind.

Oh...and I raced a subaru 2.5 RS...smoked it bad at 10psi... OWNED!

Was that a joke? Mustangs are so damn common, its easy to beleive he saw 2 and raced 2 of the same car. I see more mustangs than camrys. Why would anyone make up a lie about the same car? Noone would brag about beating the same car twice if they were making it up....

I agree with ricesucks. It is very possible to race two identical cars in a matter of minutes. You make it seem like there are no two cars alike in the same exact town. I know just a few blocks away from me there's a kid with a 92-95 Black Civic coupe. Yep, he's rolling on stock rims. He has an exhaust on his, and altezzas too. Looks very identical to my car.

The same can be said about Mustangs. I've raced plenty of cars that look exactly alike. I'm sure most members here have too. Don't be pulling up the bs flag, expecially on TV. He is a very credible member, and truthfully, you don't seem to know because you haven't been here very long. I would hope that you clear your head, apologize, and make sure you think twice about posting something like that again.

Honestly now... you want to talk about rare cars that look alike.

Now, if you were out driving around and saw either car at different locations. It'd be hard to tell it wasn't the same car.

There are thousands of Mustangs built each year. Many the same color. Hell, I drove next to a 99+ Mustang White Convertible on the freeway coming home today. If you watched TV's video (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=402437) you'd see we pulled up to a White Mustang Convertible.

Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Especially in Southern California.

I raced another mustang on the way home that night, a 87 GT which actually pulled well..eventhough I didnt downshift to 3rd, only 4th at 3K rpm...still smoked him.

So dont get all upset because an import destroyed 4 the same cars you drive in one night. Oh yah...and the convertables out here are more common than hardtops it seems like.

But...if you wanna pay for it...you can get me a camera mount! :loser:

Actually, I live in South Florida where I see alot of Mustangs and fair number of convertables. I also do my fair share of street and track racing and I have gotten at most two races in a night and have never raced the exact same year and model car twice in one evening. I actually do not remember ever seeing two of the same year and model mustangs at the track which I am sure there would be....

As for the chick drinking starbucks coffee and then deciding to rev and race well either she is the dumbest girl racing or it is complete BS... Also the 1998 Cobra Mustang that you passed in second after he got a jump on you as you stated in your post. Well lets see that car is pushing 305HP factory and is computer limited to 152 MPH top speed and is designed for all out racing yea I will call BS on this one too...

Hey I just got my heads and I will be sending my intake out to be polished and ported.... Trying to decide on a custom cam. I almost have all the parts for my motor still wanna help in the assembly?

well 1993GT since your not really into imports i'll just give you alittle heads up on what TV has in his car. he has a 240Z which weights around 2300 lbs. he does not have the original stock engine in it anymore obviously. you've ever heard of a nissan skyline? well TV has a straight 6 turbo from the base model skylines. even though its not the 2.6 liter twin turbo straight 6 making 300+whp stock like on the GTR's. but its still a very potent engine non the less.

you doubting hte ability of TV's Z is the same as doubting rednecks Z. they both have the same displacement but TV's Z makes more tq because its a I6 vs a I4, and TV's car has a larger turbo. its a T28 vs. rednecks T25. all he is missing is the front mount intercooler. but reguardless there are countless RB20DET powered 240sx's that runs low 13's with the stock turbo. and this is done in a 2700 lb 240sx.

TV's Z weights 2300 lbs so he is very possible to be a 12 second car too.

also a car that runs a 13.8 and trapping at 103 is quick but not that impressive either. either Z's should them out at ease. since rednecks's Z puts down 250whp with a smaller turbo, TV's larger turbo should surpass those numbers if he has a larger front mount intercooler. so they are putting down the same power as a cobra but weights almost 1000 lbs less. you do the math.

Tat, Matt has a FMIC.

He's still running stock intake and exhaust manifold. His only performance parts thus far are FMIC, Full exhaust, BOV, EBC and a clutch. Oh, and like me he's not running the Fan, or Powersteering or A/C compressor... so that's some free horsepower.

He's probably making 260-270hp. Or about 230whp.

When he upgrades to the better manifolds (intake and exhaust) he'll surely surpass me in wheel horsepower.

I made 252whp, 256wtq. So I'd expect 260ish whp, 270+wtq from him.

I didnt see mustangs too often out there. Here they are a dime a dozen. And if you knew of Orange County...youd understand that the chick probally didnt pay a cent for the car, her daddy bought it and she is a complete airhead.

And as for timeslips, I dont feel like driving 2 hours for 2 runs to prove something to you, when I can simply have fun with the car where I live. Now if a track day is set up here than thats different....
