i was wondering is it a good intake. im not worried about it being short ram because a scoop will be in the hood to put cool air into the intake

Not true. There is a Dragon upper intake plenum for 99+ GT mustangs that's quite decent. It's no accufab..but it also doesn't carry the price of one.
