got a 92 hatch with an LS.. its stock.. but my cat is rattling, and its about dead.. so do i get a cat for the engine or a 92-95 civic cat? do all the headers use the same flange?

It should and if it doesn't you need to get it to fit. I've never heard of fitment problems but you NEED the LS cat, the civ cat will only act like a bottleneck.

you can pick up a high flow cat by obx for $55 at www.massivemotorsport.com

i've got one but my car smells like exhaust fumes when i get out. i need to check if the muffler shop used gaskets when i got it done with my exhaust.

cool thanks i will check that out..

i guess my main point was.. will i need to get the cat custom fitted in order to work with the LS engine, or can i just get one that bolts on directly..

those obx cats are universal, you just need to know what size pipe you need. order the same diameter cat as the exhaust and header. if they are two different sizes it will need to be custom fitted.
