I have a troublesome Bonneville. When I turn the key it starts just fine. Once it hits low idle it dies. It starts up again right away but then after a minute or so it dies again. It also will cut out when driving. I am no mechanic but this does not strike me as normal. :headshake

There are two items that will cause the problem you describe. The crank position sensor or the ignition module. Since it starts but dies then go with the CPS first then try the ignition module. You will need to do a case learn procedure once you change the CPS so you may want to get a manual to tell you how. The ignition module is under the coils and can be changed by removing the coils and then the module. Unplug, replug install coils and wires and you should be ready to go if the ignition module proves to be bad.
