I have a 1993 ford escort lx Wagon and I have and extremely rough idle when it is in any gear other than Park or Neutral. It only has a 129000 Km's and all motor and tranny mounts seem to be in good shape.

I have read a few other threads in here and it seems that the common answer is the IAC. I was also wondering about a hose that runs from the air box to the valve cover. Mine is really cracked. It will cost a 120 to replace and I was wondering if this could be the problem?

How about basic info about the car and when the tune up items have been done? one way to tell if that line is the source of a problem is spray some gumout (while the car is running) and see if the motor sound changes like if it smooths the idle out.
