Quick Question About Drilling Through Firewallrtyska 04-26-2005, 11:27 AM Hey guys, Installing an amp/head unit/sub into a friend's car and I was hoping you could give me a little guidance as to where the best place would be to drill throught the firewall, on the passenger side. I also need to know if the gas tank is right under the trunk since I want to secure the box in place with some l brackets . . . and I certaily don't want to drill into something like the gas tank. Thanks! da pig Ridenour 04-26-2005, 04:35 PM Rtyska, if you look on the firewall, there is an eyelet somewhere on the driver's side. It goes through the firewall - lots of wires are run through there, and you should be able to run your wire through there. And yes, the gas tank is underneath the trunk. I wouldn't reccomend drilling through it. If you were to design the bracket so that it could be attached in the wheel well area though, that would work. prsoto21 05-14-2005, 04:19 PM I found an opening below the glovebox which worked well for 4 gauge wire. Just be sure to silicone around the wire. slicshake 05-17-2005, 11:38 PM I found an opening below the glovebox which worked well for 4 gauge wire.
