1990 Bonneville LEstoned_pimp420 04-25-2005, 02:42 PM Can anyone tell me how much the 1990 Bonneville LE weighs? It has the 3800 in it. Also how hard is it to flip these cars, I hope it isn't too easy because I just bought one for 350$ as a donor car to swap the engine into my 1990 Buick Century, but until I get a motor lift from someone I'm just using the bonneville as a beater car and just need to know what these cars weigh. Oh by the way but this cars body is WAY too far gone to be considered restorable, that's the reason I bought it for 350$ and I am not driving it! randman1 04-25-2005, 05:56 PM The GVW (weight) should be on a sticker on the driver's door. Do you intend on pulling 6G turns in this car? Anytime I've done drivetrain swaps or removals in a front wheel drive car, I've always dropped the assembly instead of lifting it out. The difficult part is raising the front end high enough to pull it out after it's dropped. You want to make sure it's stable and safe so use some good jack stands. Also, removing some top components will help such as intake manifold and accessories. stoned_pimp420 04-25-2005, 06:51 PM The GVR should be on the door but it has already rusted off, or at least the door has rusted so severely that the sticker wouldn't stick to it anymore. OH yeah does anyone know if the red dash is red because of lights or is it red because of the guages? If they are red because of the lights I'm gonna put them in my buick too! randman1 04-25-2005, 07:10 PM My 90 SSE is 4518 lbs. My guess is your LE is slightly less. stoned_pimp420 04-25-2005, 10:42 PM KOOL I think my century is like 3,2xx or something like that! The bonneville is fast as hell already and I can just imagine what the dern 3800 is gonna do after I rebuild it and drop it off in the century! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
