you dont want hicas for drifting. its not that its bad its just not what you want for drifting.

to tell if the car has it, there will be a light to the right of the steering wheel. It will say hicas, the light wont be on unless the hicas is not working and needs to be serviced. Also if you do end up getting a car with hicas, they do make a hicas eliminator. So it really doesnt matter if you get the hicas or not. Cuz there's ways to disable it.

pretty much. check the thread about hicas and suspension to learn more

add: the reason you dont' want hicas if you're going to drift is because hicas helps you take turns quicker and helps with traction. when you drift, you want the opposite.

i'd say try to avoid it if you can.. (if you're planning to dorifuto) The hicas eliminator is available but it's not cheap. I just don't feel it's right to spend money to get rid of something that you initially spent money to get. eh well-maintained S13's are hard to come by.. so just get what you can ...

i don't know the production stats for s13s but around here there aren't many hicas 240s.. if you DO find one with hicas and its the only option then the money you spend on eliminating the hicas is only a fraction of what you'd spend on a suspension setup, so i wouldn't worry about it.. i think you could get something for $150-175
