avengers suck

these are the worst cars ever...sure they look nice.
a friend of mine had one and i had one. we both blew head gaskets withing 12 miles of each other...i sold mine and he took his into a field and poured gasoline on it....it was fun.

They aren't even a Dodge, they are a Mitsubishi with Dodge badges on them, the resell sucks, and they aren't even that fast. My bro wanted to sell me his, all I could do was laugh.

As far as head gaskets, maybe he should have treated his car better.

Well they break easy and there slow... what are they good for? I raced a kid with an Avenger R/T ,lol RT, anyways, for 20 bucks. the kid was as stupid as they come. He had no idea his car does 0-60 in 9 sec. well it was the saddest race i ever had. I turned on my hazerds 50 feet into the race i had him out of 1st and when i hit second he was about 3 cars back. lets not even talk about 1/4. Well he had a 5,000 paint job so i guess it was semi cool even though the body was stock. hey what ever floats your boat

And what do you drive? Cavalier? Stock speed doesn't matter. It's the 9 sec 1/4 mile street legal V8 Avengers that make them worthwhile. Or all the turbo'ed Avengers around. I'd like to see you race them. Besides, if you're wantin the ladies, they don't give a flyin fu*k how fast your car is, it's all looks to them. Thats what makes me laugh bout guys braggin bout their gas nazis. I love em too and all, but they don't get you what a man REALLY needs.

Dude, I love my Avenger. Good car. Sometime things break, but all cars have there problems. If you have a clue and know how to fix things, then its not a problem. BTW, I saw the dude with the lebaron ripping on the "slow" avenger. Well, with a just the stage 1 kit the 4cyl avenger has 230 HP. Much better than you ugly stage 2...:finger:

i used to have a V6 Avenger with nitrous and it only ran a 9.9 in the 1/8 mile...they are slow considering how heavy they are...but mine sure was puuuuurrrrrdy! click on my link in my sig for pics.

hey the avengers are not bad, its just that they are to damn heavy, i just recently had a bad egr valve and not really complaining cuz shit happens

But for the guy that said about looks and speed, i would have to say its a toss when my car was all normal, but now it had a hit and run on the right side, so its a little project car, the ladies liked it, but the other hand my friend had a 91 mustang 5.0, did not look that great but hey it had balls and a decent sound, so he got his fare share just depends on the ladies

1. I guess I should have stated it better. I laughed because he treated his Avenger like crap, and my GTC would have murdered it in a race.

2. It is a DOHC engine, mine is a SOHC, and my GTC was 13 years old. Why not put a newer Stage 2 turbo on it with a DOHC head and well see who walks who. Just remember, I am getting 205HP and 225 ft/lbs to the wheels, he is getting 230 at the crank.

Lastly, I am closing this because it is and old thread, and it had turned into a flame war, also, Avengers are NOT DSMs in the traditional sense.
