My 1996 Monte Carlo Z34 is blowing the Air Pump fuse. The service engine soon light is on. The error code is P0410 - Air injection system failure. I took the car to Pep- Boys and they did not know the car had an air pump. They also did not know where it would be if it did. I'd like to change it myself. Where is it, what does it look like, and How difficult would this be to do? I also want to know where the relay for the air pump is located just in case that's the problem.


I appreciate any help I can get. This car has over 97,000 miles and this is it's first mechanical problem.

Well, I called the dealer. The car was recalled in 2003 for the air injection system. The dealer is going to fix it free on Friday morning. So, the only problem I had with this car was free to repair. What a great car! Chevy is still the worlds best.
