s14 no reverse

i went to look at a 95 se
theres no reverse
its an auto

he said the sensor is bad or something

any one know anything about this?
or what im looking at to repair it

There are only about 1000 sensors on a car, but I'm sure someone here will guess which one.

maybe the shifter sensor.. the one that detects if you try to put it in reverse or not

Ill go pop off my console center piece and see if I can see anything. But most likely its going to be when you slide the Gear Selector into R the thing that closes the connection...im not sure if its a signal sent to the ECU then sent to your tranny telling it to shift to reverse or if its jsut when you put it in that position thats moving the gears in the tranny.

im trying to drag my mechanic over there

he wants 3800

for the fully loaded leather sx
auto abs/lsd
new rims/tires-----ugly
drilled & sloted rotors

good body but lets just say the leather seats demand covers all of them

its that nasty gray/blue

on the way down there someone droped a supra
in front of me and i snaged it

love the look of the s14 but it'll have to wait a year or so

you bought a supra?? what year? how much?

by the way you don't have to press enter everytime you hit the end of a line, it'll loop the words for you

87 non turbo

180miles
4extra racing rims/tires
interior looks like it just drove off the show room floor
body small dent hood macco paint (what a waste)

1400 had a vacume leak
its at my machanic atm geting the vac done full tune & the rims put on


im a little ENTER happy thats all

to tell the truth i dont know how XD
ill have to read up on how to post teh pics
besides the interior being burgandy its great
hes doing it all for free,well besides oil and plug prices so i wont get it back for about 3 days

Yeah, MKIII Supras are really nice, put in a 2JZ, it'll be a real sleeper. Has anyone seen that black MKIII in a mag 2-3 years ago? Black on black, with a 1JZ, it had 18" 5 spoke rims and a Carbon-Ti exhaust with TRD HIDs, it was so gorgeous.
