I have a 89 F250 Lariot that broke the ignation actuator rod and need to know how hard is it to replace the rod that goes from the key to the actual switch.

Thanks Ken

The last one I did was in a mustang 1981 vintage. Had to fiddle a while to get it all lined up. They vary a bit from year to year, tilt or not tilt wheel, air bags, etc. The links are for AZ's online manuals. They don't specifically address the rod but the 2 components on each end.
A good manual specific to your year would be a time saver. A larger library should have copies of haynes, chilton, and even other manuals. Check them out and maybe even purchase the one that suits your needs best. An investment you will use over and over.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.
