painting wheels

i just bought a set of rims at a junk yard and they look the vintage pontiac wheels in the JEGS catalog. and they've got rust and paint on them. i want to repaint them black and chrome. where do I start?

Redoing the wheels on my old Camaro right now. Started with some paint stripper, put it on thick and spray off with pressure washer, wear lots of protective clothing, real mess. Then use some stripper with steel wool to final clean. Wipe down with laquer thinner, maybe use alcohol if you want. Then I used spray can primer, follow with finish coats and then I'll put a clear coat on to keep it nice longer I hope. I'm using
Dupli-Color stuff from Walmart, seems to work really good. Lots of work but they look like new, or better.

VHT also makes wheep paint that they say dosent need a clearcoat. It's at almost every auto shop near me
