crank shaft sensor

I have a 96 neon crankshaft sensor went out on it and the car would not start bought a new one and car ran fine for 2 months (2,500miles) it started loosing the high rpm pick up from the crank sensor replaced it again and it was fine for about another month now once again at higher rpm it looses signal it starts at 3500 rpm and and gets worse as rpms pick up I have changed the sensor one more time but this time it did not fix the problem I checked all connections batter,computer,wire harness,plugs,wires it pulls a code intermittent loss of crank or cam shaft sensor both are new is this a pcm problem not pulling signals or?
if any one has had this problem please help. thanks

check the wiring by the trans bracket and also check wiring under pdc {fuse box} under hood and check wiring under big connector by the master cylinder somewhere it is shorting and these are the most common places

Thanks I used electronic cleaner and grease on all and any plug or conector I could find it seems to have fixed it but only time will tell

i was having the same problem. Seemed one of the ignition wires was breaking down when it would get above 4000 rpm. New wire no more problems.

What make you think the crank sensor is and has been the problem?
