In removing the manual outside door mirror on a 99 Rodeo S, there is a plastic triangle hiding the bolts.
Is a flat head screwdriver the correct device to use to remove that plastic piece? OR are there any other recommendations of devices to use that will not damage the part?

I think I just pried it off gently with a screwdriver...
