Rather than start an individual thread for each car, I thought I would sum it all up on one thread. As the topic states, my MUGEN build ups will be what this thread is all about. This will include the following:

Oh yeah!!! I actually do have the S2000 with the MUGEN rims from Tamiya also!! Well as far as that car and the NSX, I'll put those two in the future projects along with the Accord and Prelude. Good point though!!

Nice job on the cars! You know I love mugen! :D in the last pictures, are those resin cast RNR rims? I see that mugen integra in the background. That front bumper is a pain to work with!

Cool! Maybe we should start a MUGEN meet under the honda section? The last picture was my first attempt at replicating wheels. With the help Andy (MPWR on this forum), I've been able to get a whole lot better at replicating parts. There is whole lot I'm working on right now.

Even though I don't have the pics to post, I just finished stripping the paint off of the EF7. Now I'm going to have to clean up the body a little bit.

Quick update: Got some pics uploaded. Here's the beginnings of the restoration of the MUGEN Integra Type R (DC2).
Here's the first picture after the paint had been stripped:

And then I cleaned it up a bit and put on the first couple of coats of white primer and the wrong white paint:

I say the wrong paint because I had mistakenly grabbed the white paint intended for RC car shells (Polycarbonite). Amazingly, the paint didn't turn out too bad but I will take no chances. I'll sand it down and repaint it again. Good thing was that I only put on one light coat of that paint.

I had to scratch fabricate the front because I cut everything out. A couple of years ago, I attempted to fabricate a Veilside front end. Now, I'm changing it up to MUGEN status.

Just a couple. The Jaccs one will be going in the DOT3 tank soon. I recently found some good reference pics to use in addition to the decals you had sent me. I'm going to be bold though, I'm going to try and paint the rasta scheme it has!! Wish me luck on that one!! LOL I'll need it!!

I was able to find an original advertisement for the MUGEN parts for a few of the older cars (Including my 1:1 EF3 hatch!!!). That's what I'm using as my reference. I don't think there is any other type of authentic MUGEN kit for the Ferio or EG6 but there are a few different styles for the EK body. Pretty simple style for EG body.

Thanks man, things are cool. Finally got settled into my new job, got my butt back in school, on my way to getting a degree. It's tough though, 9.5 hour shifts then 4 hour class directly afterwards. Hey Joeham! Thanks man! I didn't realize how similar both of our models are. I'm replicating my sisters car (except she doesn't have the mugen kit). Funny things is she used to have rims similar to the rims you have on your model!! LOL If the color were just a little bit lighter, your model would be a better replica of her car than mine!!

LOL!! It's actually sitting on the chassis to one of my hatches and I wanted that hatch SLAMMED!!! Some bad news, I thought I put enough clear but unfortuanately I sanded through so I'm trying to save the paint job.

I did some work on a few models last night. I thought I would be done with the ferio sometime this week but over the weekend I sanded through the clear. So I resprayed the color again.

I was trying to finish out the Ferio model but after I wet sanded it and started to spray the clear coat, it wrinkled on about 25% of the body. I tried to salvage the paint job, but ultimately failed. So, this one is going back into the DOT 3 tank. In the mean time, I'll be working on this:

Thanks! And Yes! It is made from styrene and putty (as are the sideskirts) but it's still in progress. The CRX/Del Sol should be ready for paint by the weekend. Hopefully, it won't be stubborn like the Ferio.

i'm shocked!!:eek: someone remembered this thread!! :lol: i haven't been working on many of the hondas in my collection lately. anything in particular you wanna see? the mugen ITR is ready for paint, the ferio is bent out of shape (literally), delsol needs clean up on the bumper, and i'm starting over on the EK4. in fact, most of my collection is waiting for the DOT 3 bath. after learning better techniques from you guys, i decided to redo alot of my models. let me know what you want to see and i'll concentrate on completing that one model this weekend just for you.

hahaha...cool. ya, i always check this thread to see updates. i'm real anxious to see your mugen itr. I'm tempted to start work on my mugen itr, but not quite yet. Take your time....i'm sure they'll come out great. Did you mold the mugen bumper to the itr or just place it over it?

i actually cut the stock bumper off and trimmed the top of the mugen bumper to line up the way i wanted it to. it still isn't 100% accurate but it's definitely better than before. i did it by the instructions originally and molded the corners. then i realized that not only did it not look right, it would be very difficult to put the headlight lenses on. i'll get that one painted tomorrow. check this again towards the weekend. and thanks for the support!
