You know I haven't realized how much I love my civic until the past 2 weeks. A month ago the right side of my car was sideswiped by a big ass monte carlo. The bastard took off while I was trying to pull my jaw back up. The damage you ask??? well sit back for this one....the front bumper was pulled clean off, the front right fender was dented all the way in, the door was dented in and nicely painted with the grey color from the monte. the back right fender had a huge dent in it and the molding popped off. So on March 25th I finally dropped my car off to the body shop to get my car fixed....and the damage comes out to be 1400...not bad considering the damage my car has. ITS NOW BEEN ALMOST 2 WEEKS AND I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. I am stuck driving a 1990 nissan sentra that belongs to my girlfriend. I just want to tuck my head in like a turtle when I drive that car. I just want my car back...thats all.

Am I being irrational?:confused:

I know how you feel. I had to live without my Civic for 10 days while it was in the bodyshop getting the new kit sprayed and fitted. During those 10 days I had the pleasure of driving a Fiat Stilo :apuke: another shitty european car you lucky people will not be getting in the US.

I was so happy when I got my car back, it was well worth the wait :D

im going on two weeks now, and theyre barely started on mine. ill prolly be without it for another 2

ive gone a weekend and i missed driving it, i think its done something to my head to crave it at all times.:D

Man yall betta shut up! I'm here in texas at school and for some reason i let my parents talk me into leaving my car home in chicago for the first year of college! imagine how i have it! ungrateful bastards!:finger:

3.5 months while she was getting fixed up. I had to drive a 1984 Blazer during that time. I love my car now! :D

3 months.....I changed my mind halfway through the project and decided to go full out...I should be able to drive it in a couple more months.....I still have other cars to drive and my hatch suspension has been swapped over to the coupe while I'm working on the engine....should be good for 12s all fucking motor:devil:

Well I am going on 4 weeks, well I have it but it's in my "shop" downstairs getting major reconstructive surgery :D. Should be done in a few months, pics soon of course :)

I have been w/o my car for at least 3 mo each time i crashed it. Sucks when you cant afford to fix it.
The last time its been like 6mo!!!! But i got a lot of stuff done. Got a whole car painted/DC radiator/ shaved stuff/ added gauges and monitor and camera.
Now its going to be out of service for another month for the body kit / roll cage upgrade. If i have time mini-me swap and big brake upgrade.

Just stopped by the body shop this morning.....the entire right side of my car has no body panels at all on it. I was trying to convince myself that it wasn't my car...maybe it was some unlucky bastards car.....but i am that unlucky bastard. well either way whether its been 2 days or 2 months or 2 years....it still really sucks not having your car.

It's been nearly 15 years w/o a car for me :( :(

My first car was a piece of crap 1985 Ford Grand Marquis. It broke down (threw a rod) and I had to ride my friend's bike to work right after I got out of class at 1pm. It was hot as hell. Everyday for 3 months=NOT FUN! Finally, I bought my civic last July and I couldn't be happier!

3 days while my car was in the shop for repainting bumpers. It was still too long of a wait for me! :(

I love how you guys complain but yet you guys still had cars drive.... yeah they might not be anything to brag about, but what are winter cars...:rolleyes: you guys should be glad that you had backup cars.... one of the reasons I am still deciding about a swap or selling my car is because I don't have a backup car, and my parents need there 2 cars.. I might be selling my car just because I don't have a backup cars like you guys...and people called me spoiled :eek:

Granted, I want all of my cars 13s or less ;) even if it is "luxury <or a winter car> car" I just can't stand having a slow car. I just dont wanna lose off the line ;)

Today's the day I get my car back from the shop!!! I can't wait....damnit its only 9 and I have to wait until 2.

When I had my in-law's Integra it wasn't that bad. Too bad it's auto.

i was without a car for 4 months. It was my first car. xmas eve of 99 i was goin to a xmas party and hit a patch of ice and slammed into a parked car. totaled my 97 nissan sentra. 4 months later i got a check from the insurance company and went out and bought my dream car. a HONDA! It was the car i always wanted but couldnt find one when i was car shopping so i had bought the 4dr sentra. was a sweet car but RIP. Ricer till the end now!
