E36: Boston Acoustics or MB Quart?Dudesky_E36 04-20-2005, 07:56 AM I would like opinions from audio guys out there for my E36 325i. I've got an a/d/s P640 amplifier that will send 40w to each speaker, along with a 10" subwoofer firing through the ski bag opening. But I'm torn between Boston Acoustics' RC-520 and MB Quart's DSC213. They're both 5.25" component speaker systems, and will be cut off below 85Hz. I'm not considering other brands, since I can get a great deal on these two. Install quirks aside and concentrating solely on sound, can anyone offer their thoughts on either or both? Thanks for any insight. Skycity_BMW 04-20-2005, 10:17 AM I have MB Quart's . . and I love them . . . . and I have had a bunch of different kinds and these are the best ! ! ! No problem on install . . I shouldn't have asked, since I kinda knew what the responses would be (he he!). Seems everyone is running either MB's or a/d/s speakers. Although I've never heard MB Quarts, I know they're legendary. But the DSC series is their bottom of the line, so I went against the grain and got the Bostons- hopefully I don't regret it :uhoh: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
