View Full Version : Suspension Question Suspension Question 93-240SX-COUPE 04-19-2005, 07:02 PM P.S. Nothing on the suspension has ever been changed so everything seems to be old. Chuki_breath 04-20-2005, 12:19 AM its really that rough?? I would say go with what your planning if you want an upgrade and new suspension pieces. Is your mrs used to being in caddy's or what!!!! stock 240's dont ride that rough....tell her thats part of life get used to it. Hit_N_Run-player 04-20-2005, 12:22 AM they were forced to give a 240? damn your lucky. orestes 04-20-2005, 02:26 AM hmm that is tricky some new stuff you replace such as bushings would make it rougher unless you got OEM ones i guess. but it will handle better with new ones so you have to ask yourself what you really care about deep down. 240SXSlideStar 04-20-2005, 07:24 AM Yeah, lowering the car won't make it ride softer. D-Bo 04-20-2005, 06:04 PM putting performance suspension in will make the ride rougher. you're just gonna have to deal with the rough ride. as for the old parts, replace what needs to be replaced. its not such a big deal with a car that won't be abused on a track 93-240SX-COUPE 04-21-2005, 12:45 AM Yeah my parents thought that because they couldnt afford to get me a new car that I would just have to settle for this one (shit fine with me for a first car, hell of alot better than getting a used 87 tercel or somethin else). And as far as the Mrs. she has a 96 camry that wasnt really used that much something like 70,000 miles on it so she doesnt really make out the difference between a family sedan and a sports coupe with over 160,000 on it, and my ride is bad cuz my bro when he had it put in lowering springs, thought it was still too high, and then cut them. And btw he did this about 8 years ago (same springs). 240SXSlideStar 04-21-2005, 10:34 AM lol, he failed at modding. 93-240SX-COUPE 04-21-2005, 12:22 PM I guess so, actually its more like he just sacrificed ride comfort for appearance but yeah he was never really that into the performance aspect of the car all he did was put in a Trust exhaust, I guess that was pre-merger with GReddy. And for all those haters of the KA I remember back when this engine was brand new (around 93-94-ish) this engine was peppy, used to be able to reach the 112 cut off with no problem. Now it has to work a little harder but it gets there. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
