I found that when I disconect the ground wire from the ignition coil the fuse no longer blows and I can start the car. I checked it tonight and found that there is .12volts from the unhooked ground wire to ground. It is really weird because the ignition coil is bolted directly to the firewall. Did you manage to get yours sorted out. Thanks Crvett69 09-06-2005, 02:50 AM on some of the metro's there is a noise supresion capacitor running from the coil to ground, if it shorts that can cause fuse to blow escapingoth 09-06-2005, 10:08 AM on some of the metro's there is a noise supresion capacitor running from the coil to ground, if it shorts that can cause fuse to blow Thank you for responding. Do you know if the capacitor is built into the coil. Crvett69 09-06-2005, 08:03 PM no, its bolted to one of the coil hold down bolts i think, look for a 1/2" round metal can looking thing with 1 wire going to it escapingoth 09-06-2005, 09:57 PM Thank you for your help. I did finally manage (I think, hope and pray) that I found the problem. It was a burnt connector in the fuse box. If I can I'll post a pic tomorrow. carpenter_jai 08-06-2007, 05:45 PM I wonder which connector was the culprit... Jai vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
