i need to do a 5lug conv. will the maxima 5lug hub fit our 240sx? or do i need a 240sx 5 lug hub, i know i can use a 300z 5 lug hub as well,

if the maxima 5lug hub works will it bolt up or do i have to mod it? or can i use the maxima 5lug up front and the z or 240sx for the rear (z&240 is rwd max fwd if that makes a difference)

SInce your car is an S14, I presume since you were talking about it in another thread, then I believe the Z rears will work, duno about Maximas, also, you don't neceseerally need new rear bearings, but might as well, they aren't that expensive and might as well change them when you can, I'd say change them.

i think you cant use the maxima hub because its FWD ithink...but maybe it will fit and you can just leave the axle hole empty? they both use macpherson struts in front iirc so the bolt up points might fit

go bring your stock one in to a junkyard and have them pull a maxima hub and compare that would be the easiest. btw let me know what works im kind of thinking of z brakes but i really dont want to drill the rotors. i know people do it but i just dont trust the strength of a rotor with 5 extra holes in the worst spot possible

I did a 5 lug conversion on mine, and it took me almost 2 months to do that because the stupid shop kept giving me the wrong hubs, and they kept saying it will work, and then i finally snapped and told them to give me the right one or ill take them to court, but thats another story of its own... i did a thread on this one... anyhow...

For the front, maxima will not work, sentra will not work, nothing will work for the front but only the 240sx hubs off an SE model 240. It has to be off 95-96 because i believe the 97-98 are a little diffrent on the front, but you cant find 97-98 front hubs anyways they are rare enough as it is...

for the rear you can use them off the zx yes, you dont have to mod them or anything just pull yours off and put the zx ones on.

This shop that i was telling you about earlier, i still have store credit with them and i can check with them and see if they got any S14s in with 5 lugs and i can hook you up, or can get your the rear ones, i know a few shops here that sell them used, something like $75 each so $150 rear and $150 fronts... let me know and i can check with some people.

thanks for the info.. so i have to get z or 240sx hubs.. i seen them on ebay brand new set of 4 for 450 and 50 shipping, i want to get them cheaper, im gona check the junk yard, i know a guy that owns a z shop so he should have alot of z hubs lying around, thanks for the info..

as for the car i dont own it yet but im in the process of.. the paper work is being sorted out b/c its a stolen recovery veichel. also all i have to do is make sure the car drives then its off to the body shop..

another question, i have a lsd form a 95 240sx w/ abs, do i need to make any additional mods to make the lsd wrk or will it "bolt on" and is it alot of work to change it..

btw i hit 8.342 in the r34 n1 using nos! hehe and a 9.746 w/o nos hehe..

remember the hugs from the front of the ZX will not fit, just the rear ones. for the front it ONLY has to be 240sx s14 hubs.

The LSD will bolt on with no problem. Since you are gonna put this on a 240 with no ABS you wont need to use the ABS nipple that is located on the LSD itself. I think people just plug those or just leave it the way it is, not sure on that.

Another thing for the LSD its going to be 1/2 or 3/4 inches longer so the drive shaft needs to be off an SE model, but the shaft have about an inch of free play or so, so you will be fine, i heard people not change shaft and they have no problems, but this is just to be safe, if you want to be perfect that is. thats about it. Its a pretty easy swap usually

All you should need could be done with a big brake upgrade here. if youre wanting Big Brakes and the 5-Lug here you go.

Modifications need to be done to match the S14 hubs onto the S13, if you want you can get aftermarket hubs. www.pdm-racing.com

that for one. I have purchased my front one from them, and i paid $200 for a pair of brand new hubs for the front, that was cheap compared to other places tat charger like $400 for a pair for the front.
